Betty Dobson has been an active genealogist since 1990. Working hand in hand with numerous other researchers, she has grown her family tree from a single pedigree chart to a database containing information on more than 95,000 individuals.

She has also helped friends build their family trees from scratch and conducted research on behalf of local law firms. Through it all, she has learned that her passion for genealogical research extends far beyond her own family interests.

In the beginning, she spent countless hours at libraries, archives and historical societies, pouring over documents, books and eye-straining microfilm.

Today, she taps into worldwide records through Ancestry.ca and other online resources, while still using archives and libraries to fill the gaps in what's available online.

She is a founding member of the Dobson Family History Group and the founder/administrator of the Dobson One-Name Study.

She also runs InkSpotter Publishing and operates as an Independent Tupperware® Consultant.
